Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Simulation TENS

TENS, or transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, is a treatment for back pain that uses a low-voltage electrical current to relieve pain. TENS is usually performed using a TENS machine, which is a small battery-powered device. The device can be attached to a belt and connected to two electrodes. The electrodes conduct an electric current from the TENS device to the skin.
